New Kindergarten students must turn 5 by September 1 of the year they wish to enroll at RAA.

Children are God’s gift to the human family. They are created in His image, unique, and endowed with the power to think, to learn, and to choose.

  • We believe that true education is the harmonious development of the whole being.
  • Experiences are provided that meet children’s needs and stimulate learning in all developmental areas – physical, social, emotional, intellectual, and spiritual.
  • Each child is viewed as a unique person  with an individual pattern and timing of growth and development. Different levels of ability, development, and learning styles are expected, accepted, and used to design appropriate activities.
It is our goal to have a safe and creative environment where a child experiences success while developing a positive self-concept and a joy in learning.

Kindergarten Curriculum

A child’s kindergarten experience at RAA provides the foundation upon which formal education is built. Academics are learned and understood through hands-on exploration and manipulation of concrete objects and real life experiences. The “3 R’s” are included in monthly thematic units and presented as a part of everyday life. Learning takes place individually, at centers, in small groups, and in large groups. Cross-age teaching is a special addition in different areas such as reading and Spanish.
