RAA Campus Ministries Philosophy and Mission Statement
Redlands AdventistAcademy is a Seventh-day Adventist Christian institution where the ultimate goal is to point students toward Christ and equip them to serve their school, church, and global communities. To this end, the school community dedicates itself—to opening the minds of the students, to opening the doors of opportunity for them, and to openings their hearts by pointing each one to a choice for a personal relationship with Christ Jesus our Lord. REJOICE.ABIDE.ADORE
Rejoice in the Lord always. I will say it again: Rejoice!
Talents for Missions is an annual talent show hosted by Redlands Adventist Academy Campus Ministries Team and hopes to raise funds for many mission projects including international mission trips. One of this year’s major mission events is a joint Redlands SDA Church/Redlands Adventist Academy international mission trip to Belize.
Chapels at Redlands Adventist Academy are simply God filled worship services. Students K-12 are encouraged to let go of all burdens and stresses to give in completely to God’s will during three age specific programs every Friday morning. Students sing praises together, enjoy thoughtful skits, well put together videos, student testimonies, and area pastors share meaningful messages.
Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit by itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you unless you abide in me.
Week of Prayer and Worships takes place twice a year. Students K-12, seperated into age appropriate programs, are encouraged to join together in worship during a week of Christ centered programing. Intentionally, students are encouraged to Rejoice, Abide, Adore.
Big Sister, Little Sister mentoring is a program designed for upperclasswomen to mentor, guide, support, and pray for the underclasswomen. The freshman and sophomore ladies have been selected specifically and thoughtfully by the junior and senior ladies. The selection remains anonymous to the younger sibling while letters and gifts are passed back and forth through specialized mailboxes located in Pastor Lemar’s room. During the fourth quarter, the big sisters reveal themselves to the younger sisters in a big mixer.
Emily, a senior big sister says, “This program is a great way for older girls to connect and become friends with younger girls.”
Bianca, a senior big sister says, “Big Sister Little Sister is a great way as for girls in the academy to break down walls and become closer.”
Oh yes, you shaped me first inside, then out; you formed me in my mother’s womb. I thank you, High God—you’re breathtaking! Body and soul, I am marvelously made! I worship in adoration—what a creation!
